Deadly dishes eaten around the world !


What if you are on a world tour, and your exclusive meal becomes the last meal of your life!
Well, your food fetishes can cost you not only a great deal of money but your life.
There are certain dishes that are reported to make people sick or even end up their life. So, if you think you are a brave heart then i dare you to try these :

  • FUGU

Fugu is a japanese delicacy, also known as blowfish or pufferfish. The internal organs of the fish contains a deadly poison called tetrodotoxin, which on consumption can paralyse or asphyxiate a human.Thankfully the Chefs in Japan undergo a rigorous training of about three years before cooking fugu in restaurants.
💀 44 people died eating fugu in the year 1996 to 2006, while 5 men died in 2015.

People of Namibia love to eat bullfrogs. African nations can eat the entire frog not just the legs. Matured, full-grown frogs are safe to eat, but the young ones are lethal. They are known to carry a toxin which can cause kidney failure.
💀 Not many incidents of human poisoned by bullfrogs, but it is reported that bullfrogs are a major threat to dogs.

  • ACKEE

It is the national fruit of Jamaica. The fruit should be eaten fully ripe and without seeds. The black seeds are poisonous, they carry toxin hypoglycin which can cause the Jamaican vomiting sickness.
💀 In 2011, 35 poisoning cases were reported. 1 in 1000 people develop ackee fruit poisoning in the Caribbean.

It is an octopus which is eaten raw in Korea. The baby octopus is cut into pieces and served alive. Make sure that you chew, chew and chew! The suction caps of the octopus don't lose their gripping power even after intake, so you can be choked to death.
💀 Every year, around 6 people die eating sannakji.

These clams are found in China. Unlike other clams, they grow in low oxygen environment. Hence, they are a storehouse of a lot of bacteria and viruses. They can cause Hepatitis A, E, Typhoid and Dysentery.
💀 In 1998, more than 300,000 people were infected.

They are eaten in South America, boiled, fried, steamed or mashed.This root vegetable is used to make cakes and puddings. The roots contain a high concentration of linamarin which converts to cyanide when eaten raw.

  • ELDERBERRIES

Elderberries are eaten worldwide. These berries are to be eaten fully ripe, and cooked without leaves, twigs and seeds because they contain cyanide. Eating unripe elderberries can cause severe diarrhoea and seizures. Even sheep and other cattle have been reported to die after chewing elderberries.
💀In 1983, 8 people after drinking elderberry refreshment fell seriously ill and admitted in the hospital for gastrointestinal and neurological symptoms.
  

  •  RHUBARB LEAVES

Available worldwide, but these leaves contain oxalic acid, toxins that create stones in your kidneys. Rhubarb poisoning symptoms include trouble breathing, nausea, diarrhoea, eye pain, burning in the mouth and throat, red urine. 
💀 Rabbit and other pets were reported to die immediately after eating rhubarb fed by their owner.
